Subprocess
A dead machine, a face the records refuse to match, and a games folder that keeps unlocking itself.
A desktop that boots into a machine which is not yours, in a city where the records have stopped agreeing about your face.
The whole game happens on one screen: a fake operating system with a news reader, a log folder nobody cleared, a recycling bin, and a games menu that keeps unlocking things you never installed. Reading is the mechanic. The news updates while you are away, the logs contradict the news, and the machine keeps track of which one you opened first.
There is no inventory and no combat. Every answer is somewhere in the files, and the game quietly counts how much of it you were willing to read before you decided what you believed.
