Terms of Service
These are the rules for playing our games: what you may do with them, what we promise, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Laff Studios LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. They apply to every game we publish, currently Paddlenaut, Subprocess, Bounzy Ball and Salty Crews: Pirate Brawl, and to this website. Our AI apps have their own terms.
By installing, opening or playing a game, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not play, and uninstall the game.
2. Who may play
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in countries where that is the minimum age for these services. If you are under 18, you may only play with the consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use of the game and for any purchases made on your device.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play our games on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. We keep every other right.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute a game or any part of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify a game, except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows it;
- use cheats, bots, memory editors, automation or modified clients, or interfere with other players’ sessions;
- attack our servers, probe them for weaknesses, or scrape them at a volume that degrades the service for others;
- remove copyright notices, or use our name, logo or artwork without written permission.
4. Store terms also apply
Games are distributed through the App Store, Google Play and Steam. Their terms apply alongside ours, and their rules govern payment, billing and refunds.
For iOS: this agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the game or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support. If the game fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
5. Accounts and saved progress
Our games have no login and no account: your progress lives on your device, so clearing the app’s data, losing the device or switching to a new one can lose it. Back it up through your platform’s own backup if you care about it.
If we add accounts to a game later, you will be responsible for keeping your credentials to yourself and for what happens under your account, and you must not impersonate anybody or hold a second account to get around a suspension. Tell us at support@laffstudios.com if you think someone else is using your account.
6. Purchases and virtual items
A game may sell virtual currency, items or unlocks. These are a licence to use a feature inside the game; they are not your property, have no value outside the game, and cannot be exchanged for money or traded outside the game.
Payment is handled by the store, not by us, so refunds follow the store’s policy. Consumers in the EEA and the UK keep their statutory withdrawal and refund rights. We may change the price or the content of virtual items, and we may retire an item. If that affects something you have already bought and not used, contact us and we will look at it.
7. Advertising
Our free games are paid for by advertising, and you agree to see ads while you play. Ads come from third-party networks; we do not endorse what they advertise and we are not responsible for the products, websites or offers behind them. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy explains how to turn personalised advertising off.
8. Content you submit
If a game lets you submit a name, a message or any other content, you remain its owner, and you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it for the purpose of running the game. Do not submit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene or infringing. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
9. Ownership
The games, their code, art, audio, characters and the Laff Studios name and logo belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.
10. Early access and updates
Games marked beta, early access or coming soon are unfinished, and are provided as they are: features may change or disappear, and progress may be reset. We may update, patch or change any game, and we may stop operating a game or an online feature. If we shut down a paid online service permanently, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, cheat, abuse other players, or put our service or other players at risk. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the game. Sections 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15 survive termination.
12. Disclaimer
Except where the law says otherwise, the games are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a game will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, and consumers in the EEA and the UK keep the statutory guarantees their law gives them, and nothing here removes those.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost progress. Our total liability arising out of these terms or a game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for that game in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
If your breach of these terms, or your misuse of a game, leads to a claim against us by somebody else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur because of it. This does not apply where consumer law in your country says otherwise.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing anything, email us at support@laffstudios.com and give us 30 days to sort it out; most problems end there. Otherwise, the courts of Sheridan County, Wyoming have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and we will announce material changes in the game or by email before they take effect. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
17. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the games. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right immediately does not waive it. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a company that acquires the studio or a game.
