Privacy Policy

This policy explains what our games collect, why they collect it, who else sees it, and how you can get it removed. Section 2 breaks it down game by game.

1. Who we are

Laff Studios LLC (“Laff Studios”, “we”, “us”) is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

This policy covers our games and this website. Our AI apps are published under their own privacy policies, which you will find on their store listings.

Questions, requests or complaints: support@laffstudios.com.

2. What each game collects

Our games do not all handle the same data. This table is the authoritative answer for each one, and it is what our App Store privacy labels and Google Play Data safety forms are based on.

None of our games asks for your precise GPS location, your contacts, your photos, your microphone or your camera. We never receive your card number: any purchase is processed by Apple, Google or Steam, and we only see that a purchase happened.

Paddlenaut (iOS)

Paddlenaut is free because it shows ads: rewarded videos you choose to watch, and an occasional full-screen ad between levels, served by Google AdMob using your device's advertising identifier and basic device information. The game runs no analytics and no crash reporting of its own, so we never see which levels you played or how you did. There is no login and no account: your progress, coins and unlocked kayaks are saved in a file on your device and, if you have it switched on, in your platform's own device backup. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent screen appears before the first ad, and you can change your answer any time from Ad choices in the game's settings.

Processors used by this game:

  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Google User Messaging Platform (consent management)

Bounzy Ball (iOS)

Bounzy Ball is free because it shows ads, served by Google AdMob using your device's advertising identifier and basic device information. The game itself runs no analytics and no crash reporting, so we never see which levels you played or how long you played them. There is no login and no account: your high score and settings are stored on your device by the game and, if you have it switched on, by your platform's own device backup. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent screen appears before the first ad, and you can reopen it any time from the Privacy button in the main menu.

Processors used by this game:

  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Google User Messaging Platform (consent management)

3. What the categories mean

The data in the table above is collected automatically as you play. Here is what each column covers:

  • Device & app info: Device model, operating system version, app version, language and region.
  • Gameplay & usage: Levels started and finished, sessions, features used, in-game settings.
  • Crash diagnostics: The stack trace and device state at the moment something breaks.
  • Advertising ID: The Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or Android Advertising ID, plus an approximate location no finer than your country.
  • Account data: An email address, display name or cloud-synced save tied to a login.

Separately, if you email support, we keep that message and any details you include in it.

4. Why we use it

  • To run the game: load it correctly on your device, restore purchases, answer your support email.
  • To fix and improve it: find crashes, see which levels people quit on, measure whether a change helped.
  • To show ads: our games are free because they show advertising. See section 6.
  • To keep things safe and lawful: detect abuse and fraud, and comply with our legal obligations.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (delivering the game to you), legitimate interests (fixing bugs, security, understanding how the game is played), consent (personalised advertising, and any tracking you allow through the iOS prompt), and legal obligation where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time; see section 6.

5. The services behind our games

  • Google Firebase: Analytics for usage events and Crashlytics for crash reports.
  • Google AdMob: advertising in our free games.
  • Google User Messaging Platform: the consent screen that records your advertising choices where the law requires one, and passes them on to the ad network.
  • Apple, Google and Valve: the stores that distribute our games and handle payments; they act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

These providers process data on our instructions in order to deliver their service. We do not sell your personal data. Section 2 says which of them each game uses.

6. Advertising and your choices

Our free games show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your advertising identifier and approximate location to pick which ad to show and to measure whether you interacted with it. This is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

You can turn personalised advertising off at any time:

  • iOS:Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and deny the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you deny it, you still see ads, just untargeted ones.
  • Android:Settings → Google → Ads, where you can opt out of ad personalisation or delete your advertising ID.
  • In the EEA and UK:a consent screen appears the first time you open the game; you can change your answer later from the game’s privacy or settings menu.

Under California law, sharing an advertising identifier for targeted advertising can count as a “sale” or “share”. Using the controls above, or emailing us, opts you out.

7. Who else sees your data

We share personal data only with:

  • the service providers named in sections 2 and 5;
  • professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where they need it to advise us;
  • authorities, when a valid legal request obliges us to disclose it, or to protect our rights, our players or the public;
  • a buyer, if the studio or a game is sold or merged. This policy continues to apply to data transferred that way until it is replaced, and you will be told beforehand.

8. Where data is stored, and for how long

We operate from the United States and our providers process data in the United States and the European Union. Where data leaves the EEA or the UK, our providers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Analytics and crash data is kept for up to 14 months. Advertising identifiers are retained by the ad network under its own schedule. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months. We keep records longer only where tax, accounting or legal rules require it. Because our games have no accounts, uninstalling a game removes the progress stored on your device.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can also withdraw consent, and you will never be treated differently for exercising a right.

Email support@laffstudios.com and tell us which game you play. Since we hold no account, we may ask for your device’s advertising identifier or a Firebase installation ID so we can find the right records. Without something like that we may be unable to identify your data, and we will say so. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

Our games are meant for a general audience aged 13 and over, and are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA, where local law sets that age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to people who need it, and we rely on established providers rather than rolling our own storage. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security, but if a breach affects you we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

12. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects you, we will say so in the game or on the store listing before it takes effect. New games are added to the table in section 2 when they launch.
